If cats really have nine lives, a feral feline aptly nicknamed Quiver has definitely used up one of them.

The unfortunate tabby was discovered shot with an arrow through the face and body in southern Utah Wednesday.

A volunteer with the nonprofit organization One More Chance C.A.T.S. spotted the seriously wounded animal hiding under a bush along a walking trail in Nisson Park.

Poor kitty: A one-year-old lynx-point Siamese cat was discovered impaled with an arrow through her head and body in a Utah park.

Miracle cat: The arrow had gone through the animal's head, passed through her esophagus, punctured a hole between her nasal passage and mouth, sliced her tongue and then came out of her shoulder blades - but didn't touch any vital organs

The critter, described as a 1-year-old lynx-point Siamese, was rushed to the Washington Family Vet Clinic for treatment, The Spectrum reported.

Initially, veterinarian Dr Jace King thought they would have to put the cat down, by an X-ray revealed that the dart miraculously left the animal’s vital organs, including her brain, heart and lungs, untouched.

The arrow had gone through the animal's head, passed through her esophagus, punctured a hole between her nasal passage and mouth, cut her tongue nearly in half and then came out of her shoulder blades.

On Thursday, Quiver underwent surgery to extract the projectile from her body. Dr King sewed up the hole in her pierced palate and mended the sliced tongue.

Patched up: A veterinarian was able to close up most of Quiver's wounds, including the cut on her tongue and the hole between her nasal passage and palate

‘She had nine lives,’ King said. ‘I think she'll make a full recovery.’

Clinic employee Shanna Faapuna told the paper that Quiver liked had only a few hours to live when she was rescued from the park Wednesday morning.

Washington City police spokesman Ed Kantor tells KUTV there are no suspects, and it's unclear whether someone shot the cat intentionally or recklessly.

The sharp dart left a half-inch diameter hole through Quiver’s nose and a wound in her esophagus, which was too deep for the doctors to patch up, forcing them to let it heal on its own, according to The Independent.

Second chance: The fesity feline is expected to make a full recovery and will likely be put up for adoption Once Quiver is fully restored to health, she will likely be put up for adoption. The animal center is asking for donations to help cover the cat’s medical bills.

It is expected that Quiver will require special care for the rest of her life because she may have lingering problems passing food due to her internal injuries.
