    The Hologram

This is an image from Star Wars. The High Jedi Council met in the Temple ....
Not all participants are physically present, however, some are represented by their hologram.
This happens, now, only in the movies but definitely in the future this will be a reality in our world. We will visit friends who live far away ... we will do 3D videocall ... will see a football game ... a concert ... without moving from home! On the one hand it can be a comfort on the other hand ... well ... laziness will reign supreme!

    But what is a hologram?

A hologram (derived from the ancient greek word whose meaning is "describe it") is an image or pattern of interfering wave obtained with the use of lasers. With these patterns it is possible to create and project a three dimensional image. The first holograms, however, date back to the mid-1800s and were generated using the reflective properties of mirrors placed at strategic points to generate three-dimensional optical illusion.

    The Illusionist

In the original version a semitransparent mirror, placed between the audience and the stage, reflect an object in a room adjacent to the stage, but hidden from the eyes of viewers. For example, if a ghost have to appear in a room reproduced on the stage, this will be divided into two areas that reproduce two perfectly identical rooms. One of the two will be visible to the public, the other will be hidden from the eyes by a mirror positioned according to a particular angle. Within this environment there will be the actor who plays the ghost, who, thanks to a game of lights, will be reflected by the mirror in order to appear on the scene.

Holograms were used in the opening and closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012 but one that has had a media success is that at the Coachella Festival where Tupac Shakur, a famous American rapper died in 1996 , took the stage, and that thing really sparked his loyal fans.
