THE CITY OF CAVES . But it is all the historical center of Nottingham to merit a visit entirely medieval , with a cathedral and a central square , the Old Market Square , the hub of the other streets , where many old buildings are the backdrop to modern shops , bars and cinema, which are numerous because Nottingham is one of the most vibrant cities in England.

Under the feet of its inhabitants, however, everything speaks of a very ancient history, with a series of tunnels that gave it the nickname of City of Caves (for more information see link below ), and that over the centuries have had several functions , from that of a wine cellar in the shelter during the Second World War.
